TIL my brother passed his driving test by staying at exactly 25 mph by accelerating and putting his foot on the break every few seconds. Then he charmed someone into giving him a right of way he didn’t legally have. His examiner told him he was a terrible driver, but that he technically couldn’t fail him. Adam you could’ve been an incredible hacker.

Agree with the general sentiment here, but my take is for larger projects more nerds should take credit for their work. Otherwise you’ll be at the mercy of those who do because they can raise and earn capital. Keep doing, but yap more!

New paper from Sakana trying to make artificial neural networks more like brains! This research tries to encode temporal data similarly to spike-timing-dependent plasticity.
