The post COVID divergence of the Disney World food into slop and the Disney Land food into a snack renaissance should be studied.

ironically it feels like any AI system needs extra QA people so maybe they can move there.

If this means we continue to explore new modes of governance together I can get behind it. If this new leadership team doesn’t involve the community, hard to invest in it and I don’t understand it as a business strategy.

Today my train to Milan was late and I learned retardo, spelled ritardo, is a real Italian word!

Yes it’s typical to have some sort of ShouldRespond prompt where you clarify what it should respond to

I’d like to see them given a pot of money they can allocate to people doing tasks they don’t want to do. Could be magical.

TIL my brother passed his driving test by staying at exactly 25 mph by accelerating and putting his foot on the break every few seconds. Then he charmed someone into giving him a right of way he didn’t legally have. His examiner told him he was a terrible driver, but that he technically couldn’t fail him. Adam you could’ve been an incredible hacker.

Typically no, core contributors burn out and often abandon their projects when this happens. They want to program, not manage. “Working in public” is a book that discusses this. I think giving the core team money as well as ai telling what non core contributors did and suggesting payouts for them is the best path forward.

I think benevolent dictators for life in OSS typically act in the projects best interest. And in the worst case it’s much easier to fork an OSS project than a DAO.
