Took a week off from being online to just focus on work. 📚 Looking forward to posting some of the dishes I’ve been making lately :) It’s been very cold here (in the single digits every morning) so I’ve been craving comfort foods ❄️ Crispy pan-fried chicken w/ a panko breadcrumb crust, roasted broccoli, and tzatziki :)

Still so jet lagged after returning from India, so I made myself breakfast at 5:45am today :) A crispy fried egg on ciabatta with bacon (bread and bacon were from a local cafe)

Editing photos from a recent trip to Vermont for an upcoming blog post 🏔️ Last year I took a skiing lesson and was able to ski a green run comfortably for the first time. I’m hoping to try skiing again sometime this winter. ⛷️ I got back to New England yesterday from a trip to India to see my in-laws, and the winter cold is making me want another hot chocolate like this one. ❄️ I’m a bit too jet lagged today for much cooking, but maybe I’ll make some later this week. :)

I’ve been editing a new blog post with a recap of this holiday season and some tips for hosting ❄️ I always take so many photos when I prep food - I think there is a lot of beauty in the ingredients, care, and messiness that go into hosting a gathering ☺️ Pictured on the left is the cheese and fruit spread I was prepping, inspired by a recent Dinner With Friends episode I watched :) On the right, apples I was peeling for the chicken entree (I always roast chicken because none of my friends like turkey except for me!)

One of my favorite recipes for Christmas Eve: cranberry orange loaf cake by Joy the Baker 🎄 I bake this recipe every year. I’ve made it as a loaf and I’ve also baked it in a round cake tin and a Bundt pan - the texture is wonderful! Pictured on the left, the version I made last Christmas to celebrate my sister’s engagement. Baking gingerbread cookies ❄️ On snowy days I love to bake gingerbread cookies to have with hot coffee or tea.
