Fraud proofs are scheduled to go live on @Base Sepolia testnet tomorrow (July 23) at 4PM UTC -- this is a critical step in Base's path towards decentralization

They improve decentralization with two important capabilities:

1. Permissionless output proposals: With fault proofs, anyone can make claims about Base's current state instead of relying on a central party

2. Permissionless challenges to output proposals: If someone makes a faulty or fraudulent claim, anyone can challenge it

These changes allow anyone to withdraw funds from Base to L1 without having to rely on any centralized institutions or actors
