This is the Ford Dagenham factory, opened in 1931 in Dagenham, United Kingdom.
They began planning the construction back in the 20s of the last century, because a large plant needed wholesale supplies of equipment, as well as coal and steel... since the plant planned its own steel mill.
Therefore, the main thing for this plant was good access to water. The construction of the plant lasted 28 months, 22,000 concrete piles were killed... and the first car to come off the assembly line was a Ford-AA van.
Throughout its history, the plant has produced 10,980,368 cars and 39 million engines. 2 replies
