I almost never trust a rating system that includes decimals, high degree of variance there, rarely consistent

Related: ten point rating systems are often unreliable, ideal would be to standardize on four so that respondents are forced to decide slightly positive or negative

In many cases (like ridesharing and food delivery) it makes even more sense to just have a quick 👍🏻 / 👎🏻 since most ratings lack nuance anyway

But even for your four option rating system would result in a decimal final score. 🤷

Yeah I think having decimals as part of an average is a good thing, let’s the data sort itself out

I just don’t trust individuals to maintain a consistent methodology when rating down to the decimal
