i appreciate the argument. i'm not saying it's invalid. in fact, i agree with you. my position is that it's too early to prioritize them

there isn't even another Android client for Farcaster. it doesn't even *exist*. that's a massive opportunity, and *nobody's even trying*

i don't want a hundred Warpcast clones. i don't even want two Warpcast clones. open sourcing Warpcast will do exactly that, and then Rhizome and Kiosk and Drakula and all the others that are building new things on top of the protocol will be crowded out by another mediocre chronological feed app. there will be no attention left  for innovation

Who has a point? People shouldn’t be trying to build a Warpcast-like client imo because we already have WC!

We need more people building completely new and different kinds of clients and FC-integrated apps

the easier it is to build a warpcast-like client, the harder it will be for anyone to stand out. all that does is entrench the default (wc) even more.

i don’t really care about the client being open source

but the official hub sdks could use a *lot* of help
