i appreciate the argument. i'm not saying it's invalid. in fact, i agree with you. my position is that it's too early to prioritize them

there isn't even another Android client for Farcaster. it doesn't even *exist*. that's a massive opportunity, and *nobody's even trying*

i don't want a hundred Warpcast clones. i don't even want two Warpcast clones. open sourcing Warpcast will do exactly that, and then Rhizome and Kiosk and Drakula and all the others that are building new things on top of the protocol will be crowded out by another mediocre chronological feed app. there will be no attention left  for innovation

the problem is so much more nuanced, but i believe Merkle simply has bigger fish to fry and open sourcing their client will put too many cooks in the kitchen
