Been thinking lately about taking the plunge into creating food and travel content, have a lot of thoughts that I’ve been marinating on

I have a lot of favorite creators but still feel like there’s a gap in the perspective that I want to share, namely calling out small details and acknowledging negatives as well

I honestly feel like there is a gap/need for negative/critical content. I would tune in

genetically modified organism. synbio PhD. friend of bacteria. I make /synbio vids 🧬, co-host /science 👩🏽‍🔬, building /teaparty ☕️

Right? I feel like there are fewer and fewer creators who tell it like it is, maybe for fear of retaliation or whatever but it just seems disingenuous to only show the rosy side

I’d be curious if travelers want to watch negative / revealing content vs dream about their destinations. 

Also a lot of content creators are incentivized / required to post positive videos (paid ads). 

Both reasons probably contribute to why content is generally positive and less revealing.

100% we need more nuance and incentives for creating this kind of stuff rather than push back
