The amount of thirst traps on my Instagram feed is out of control, constantly serves up cleavage and booties

A quick glance at the comments section confirms why algos do it but you've gotta wonder what it does to our mental sexual health to constantly be exposed to subconscious triggers like that

I notice this on some of my friends’ instagram algos - I can’t help but feel they’re being fed propaganda. Propaganda to make them think that it’s all real, propaganda that women *should* look like that, and propaganda that makes men desire to acquire that

We are being colonized by images. Our psyches are image making processes. So being in the modern world means that our psyches are being colonized by images with much higher emotional resonance.

You don’t have to wonder. Fairly sure there are studies showing it is horrible on many levels.
