Big fan of the “new me” vs. “old me” framing when trying to make changes in your life

I’ve found it helps to visualize the new version of yourself as an entirely different person

Reminds me of one of my favorite quotes: “You're under no obligation to be the same person you were 5 minutes ago.”

I also find it helpful to think of future me as a completely separate person. I enjoy doing favors for them and know 49 year old me will appreciate it.
