This is great. I'd only add, these are not memes, this reputation is based on consistent follow-through. Disney doesn't meme you to think it's magically, they produced 100+ years of literal movie magic. Same with Apple and Innovation. There is no shortcut to brand premium.

our industry has sullied the term meme imo. meme really just is a concept that is metricized by cultural references but you’re spot on that they have escaped our industries version of it by genuinely producing a market presence

yeah I feeel like you know better than nearly anyone re: what memes are and aren't, I felt dumb commenting on it as if you didn't, but like you said, most people think repeating a word enough times makes it real whereas it's the opposite, it's the actions, the execution, that makes the meme real. compuslive reminder since ct forgets it regularly.

haha way too tough on yourself it’s ironic that the industry has essentially said f*ck marketing & advertising and tried to replace it w a low effort manic type repetition of abstract phrases bc “attention”
