Listening to the latest episode, a couple of clarifications from a CO local:

- EthDenver vibes are unique even for Ethereum conferences
- $Spork is the ED DAO token that you have to stake for membership and a free ticket (why? Unsure).

- Buffercorn is a CO thing, also unclear of origins outside of a PFP project and Bufficorn Ventures w/ a CO-specific crypto investment DAO. 
- The zen room is an EthDenver staple for hackers, but this year's was by far the best.

Agreed. Can you imagine Jamie Dimon sharing a stage in a full body Bufficorn suit? 

What's often perceived as cringe can be a strategy for keeping the psychopaths and suits from co-opting (parts) of the scene

Something I like about Ethereum is it embraces weirdness.

It doesn't mean everyone here is a weirdo, but it recognizes the fact that we're all weird in our own way.

Ah gotcha! I wasn't sure if it was a legal thing around the DAO or not. Staking == effort makes a ton of sense.

It’s for free entry without just letting anyone in. You have to exert some effort.
