"post after post of nothing" is exactly why social incentives are so dangerous - they are incredibly effective for generating *volume*, but algorithms can only approximate what "good" volume really is so, eventually people find a meta of minimum input -> max incentive reward, and the ecosystem goes sideways. that's a nice read. I agree with you. Honestly if they're gonna game the system at least make it have substance (of course they won't 😞 ). I sometime just don't bother to reply since its the same shtick over and over again.

yup - so once the algo is better, it'll learn that you're not interested and hopefully help self-select that content out of your feed but, sadly, when algo is better, it may see other ppl's engagement as even more powerful indicator of interest and therefore amplify not suppress ! v tough balance to find 🥲
