my point only that it's a lot easier to make a difference when you're not stressing about money life is long. take care of yourself and your family as early as you can in your career. it makes pursuing big dreams much much easier as you age

I get that to some degree, as someone who has been a professional artist for my entire adult life, because I am currently not doing great financially, but building something you don't care about for money is a great way to burn out, and put more shit into a world full of terrible, profit driven products.

Easy to see the bad on both paths. The starving and bitter artist as well as the businessman who wanted to make a quick buck and wakes up 30 years later wondering what happened to his life and ideals. And those who played it half way and got neither. Though I feel like there's been no easier time than now to do something meaningful that also can pay for your life. Internet solves so many distribution problems.
