nah, I grew up in the US. moved to japan when I was 18! (but visited for the first time when I was 11 and had lots of Japanese exchange students as a kid)

yeah, they localized it and replaced the japanese actors with american ones, but all the scenes in suits (and the witch) were originals

Thats the best part about it! it was soooo cheap to make in America because they didn't have to shoot too mant scenes and the backdrops were easy to get!
