I see crypto as a tool and a programmable application layer. Here’s what I love: - Anyone can create a bank account and pay globally - Freedom to build smart contracts and join the global economy - It empowers people in high-inflation countries to save and invest globally Where my value system clash: - More attractive to be pvp than collaborate - The constant demand for attention for one chain vs another

A few follow-up questions for whenever you have time: - Do you think pvp > collaboration is simply the current meta, or does it run deeper than that? - Do you see the demand for attention re chains as competition that promotes innovation? Or is it mostly negative? --- As far as the pros, they're indeed beautiful and in particular love the internationalist part. Value is borderless. 500 $DEGEN

1) It's the current meta due to speculative nature of the field. However, wealth building doesn’t need to be zero-sum. It's a diamond in the rough, that's why many prefer pvp 2) A new chain is one of the most fundable products with clear moats and ROI, especially for venture. L2 competition has indeed driven innovation and reduced fees (like Base with EIP-4844), however, the fragmentation of chains creates complexity for users. Imo today only a few chains are uniquely valuable, I expect consolidation to happen soon
