Is it incidental or just general bad practice to not announce the launch of a token before it happens?

It's a fun name, but I don't think I'm enough of an influencer to push something to a steady state without some real creativity.

2. Launch
3. Wait for the bots to get out
4. Announce

appears opinion is divided here. i decided not to announce $clankersub so as not to create any extra hype ahead of time; stealthily launched and immediately released a prepared announcement to try to mitigate speculation off of ambiguity. i really think it depends on the token/project

Tbh, I have wanted to ask that myself but I asked myself,  who I was. To me, it is act of selfishness.
