Was so sleepy after last night's 3am launch that I took a nap right after taking my 2yo to daycare.

Woke up an hour later and suddenly panicked.

"Where's {2yo}?!"
"His sandals aren't here, the door is unlocked!"

**throws shoes and socks on and flies out the door**

**jump down flights of stairs** 

longest 60 seconds of my life later...

"oh, he's at daycare. thank god"

I feel you. My now 2yo has had an obsession with opening doors since he could tippy toe his way to the doorknob.

He even had a short escape with his best buddy when he unlocked the deadbolt 😵‍💫

I can so identify with this. 
We just moved into a new house and my almost three year old can open the doors for the first time. Rushing to catch up with the child proofing! Nervous system on full vigilance mode until then!

I remember those days. I did that with my kid and also with a car that I forgot I took to the dealer for an oil change. I was one number from dialing the police thinking it was stolen before I remembered what was going on. 😆
