It's so incredibly sad, US forests and parks are such a valuable part of what makes living in the US so special. My sister-in-law works on forests/parks and said the situation is really bad

I like to steer clear of /politics online, but I 100% agree that US forests and parks are among the most special parts of the US and that it's incredibly sad to hear their personnel are being gutted.

I hope there's a damn good plan for what to do next, because this isn't the future I want.

Honestly, I tried to stay clear of /politics (not being in the US and whatnot) for a really long time. 

But I really doubt there's a plan there. The cruelty is the point. I understand that phrase now. 

Regardless of who anyone has been voting for, USA (and by extent, a good chunk of the rest of the world) has never been this divided. And that saddens me.

Same. I have so many great memories in National Parks and met so many nice rangers! This is just stupid and sad.
