Sleep training my 5.5 month old from today. 

Expected worse, but cried 14 mins before putting himself to sleep at bedtime. 

Now for night wakings. Let’s see how he does.

this is going swimmingly well. 

3 mins 2nd night. 

5 mins 3rd night with barely any crying. 

sleep during day naps also got way better.

It's magical. 

But it can be screwed up. Be wary of overseas travel and extended family who doesn't get it.

it's roughly the same time-wise, but in general a bit harder the older they get. I guess the hard or easy depends on your emotional comfort with the process

a few times, my son end up falling asleep sitting upright with his feet through the crib and tears tried down his face

hard to retrain them again after that happens?
