2 year old is constantly repeating the same "bad" behaviour We tried being gentle and kind, but doesn't seem to work at all. We also explain the severity of some actions. How do you correct this behaviour?

Going into the kitchen, opening cupboards (these are child proof, but she learned how to unlock it), and keeps grabbing things that are not hers despite us telling her constantly, multiple times 3 months

My son is around the same age (just turned 2.5). I think it's hard to give generic advice because kids are different, but a few things that I do... 1) remove opportunities for interacting with the environment in inappropriate ways, 2) when #1 is not possible...clear, consistently enforced limits What happens when you tell her?

I use some of "Happiest Toddler on the Block" techniques (caveman, etc.) w/ Montessori Toddler philosophy. Also struggling, but my son is experiencing step-changes in his understanding of the world too. I think "reasoning" just jumped a lot this last week.
