Philosophy

Philosophy functions as a firmware—in the sense it’s the foundational code that governs the processing of reality at the deepest level, influencing how much depth (bits) we render per frame and, consequently, how we perceive existence itself. Tragically, 99.99999% of humanity operates on crude and outdated firmware, sorta like running x86 BIOS on an M4 machine. The immense potential of our mental and existential ‘hardware’ goes unrealized, constrained by primitive underlying instructions.

True. I like to think of it as: “Every step-change or (r)evolution begins with a broken sim.”

Realizing the sim is broken—or breaking—is the first step toward “optimizing photosynthesis.”

i wouldn’t say it’s “broken” per se—it’s more of a “necessary correction” emerging from entropic expansion (or really, an explosion) driven by information systems and the chaos they introduce.

The cave isn’t just a cave—it’s a network of tunnels inside a mountain, endlessly twisting and branching. Each ‘escape’ only reveals another layer, like an ant realizing it’s still inside the colony. Ants know 1D, we know 3D, but the rules are eerily similar.

Observing ourselves is, in a way, pinning ourselves down—often the hardest and most necessary problem to tackle for any real progress.

The sanest take. The only reason NextJS will likely dominate this cycle is the sheer amount of (crappy NextJS codebase) data baked into LLMs… until devx-specific implementations arrive.

Or maybe it’s already too late.
