leaderboards = interesting ingredient to incentivize a community. it leverages social capital that's not as strong as financial incentive. 'free money' can get the core of a community perverted in a way that invites the farm and bounce behaviors yes i share this screenshot because i've regained my #1 spot here 📈

incentive of the leaderboard is counter-diffusion, and the incentive effect becomes lower as time goes by.

yea so leaderboard is rarely ever a product itself - at best a supporting variable
