Yes, many! Even though my full-time job is as a startup founder, I will forever be a magician :) Have you met anyone else who keeps this many decks of cards on their desk just to fiddle with?

Amazing haha. No, I have not met anyone with more than a quarter that many. What is the use or appeal of another incremental deck? It looks like you even have a fresh pack up there unopened. Something nice about a fresh pack

Great question! The main difference between decks comes down to the card stock and the finish. Some decks are thinner, which makes them easier to manipulate. Others are thicker and more durable over time. Some have a more plastic-y finish, which makes the cards clump up more easily (great for cardistry, bad for magic). Others have what they call "air cushion finish", which has a bit more texture and makes it easier for the cards to spread evenly, even after heavy use. So for example, the red deck sitting out with the 6 of Spades face up is super thin and has that smooth finish which I like to use when fiddling during meetings and when I'm at my desk. The blue deck with the circle back design closer to the speaker is a bit thicker and has a more air cushioned finish which I love using when I'm performing magic. Ultimately, it's all personal preference.

Learned something today. Thanks for the detail. In addition to magic, you also have at least a relative obsession with cards. Reminded me of this

Oh, I definitely have an obsession with cards 😅 Aside from performing magic, creating and selling custom playing cards to magicians was my first business. At this point, I have 1000+ decks in my collection, and like books, if I ever find a deck of cards that looks nice, I'll just buy it without thinking.

Wow. Respect. Requests for a thread each tweet/cast describing one of your favorite decks with photo. It you feel inspired
