I've noticed committing *a lot* more to git, as that's the only way to maintain the otherwise unmaintainable spaghetti

3. Apply change (or not)
4. Commit to git

i have no idea how i could manage that workflow 🫠

i am constantly reviewing the diff and try to only commit stuff i have read and understand to add some quantum of functionality (relatively infrequently)

i get the sense i need to let go a bit
