One dude is simultaneously spearheading efforts to:

1. Prevent space flight from being captured by crony capitalism 
2. Electrify individual mobility 
3. Keep internet speech censorship-resistant until crypto gets strong enough

I'm an Elon fan, and not mad at all :)

The question I'm asking is about how our country comes back from years of stagnation.

Maybe it takes one formidable individual, but the issue is bigger than that IMO.
