Makes complete sense, given that phone cycles increased to about 3-4 years for the majority of people. I used to change iPhone every year, and now I change it every 2 years at least

Do you know if Apple or Google has mentioned phone cycles increasing as the result of slowing sales? I’ve heard this before, and anecdotally feels true but curious if its that or cycle time is constant and they’ve run out of new markets to sell into

I wouldn’t know but there are announcements that make it feel like it’s this way: - Samsung announced 7 yrs of OS updates for each device starting the S24 - Apple makes substantial hw upgrades to iPhone only every 3 years, not 2
