The meta right now seems to be "the right way to build". There is no right way to build a company, other than: 1. Build something people want 2. Charge (someone) money for it 3. Don't break the law The last two are easy, the first one is hard.

If you want to be pedantic, don't break state or federal laws. A city ordinance has limited ability to prosecute you, esp. across state lines.
