Please join the discussion, would love to hear your opinions: I'm constantly thinking about how to improve this platform for artists, collectors and art enjoyers alike. I kind of left Twitter/X for various reasons, since Musk took over and turned it into a propaganda machine. But whenever I return there for a quick update, my art feed is really top notch. Almost everybody who is active here, also posts or cross-shares frequently on X as well. But more important, a lot of artist I want to follow and I want to be informed about only post there (and maybe on Bluesky, Mastodon, IG as well, don't know). Point is, they all have a Farcaster account, but turned their backs on the platform at some point or never really got into it. I would therefore be delighted if they were to return and exploit Farcaster's potential.

590 $degen I wish more people outside of the art community cared about this, but it’s just not the reality. Artists need a home, it’s hard to not feel discouraged from feedback that I receive from artists time and time again, it just gets worse over time, including a private message I received to this thread. People don’t even want to waste their time sharing their opinion on the matter because they feel like it’s on deaf ears.

Thanks again, Zach. Something I'm struggling with is divisional thinking, that there is something like a *them* and *us*. Especially in web3 this feels somewhat artificial. I also haven't sparked the discussion to have somebody *official* reading along. In the first place it's just something that interests me personally, I'd love to gain a few insights beyond the obvious things and as a result, ideally channeling some ideas to improve the situation ourselves, with all the legos at our hands. Also I think it's really important to not mix up the current Degen incident (and what happened with Rare – unfortunately I'm not familiar with what happened there. But due to how you describe it, sounds somewhat similar) with the objectives of the Farcaster/Warpcast team. What Jacek does and decides for his project is completely out of the control and influence of the platform. I fully agree it was an absolute disaster and has caused a lot of damage. That goes without saying. Will reply on your other comments later.

Tim, I appreciate your constructive approach to understanding and communication, which is why I replied in the first place. It was my understanding that you are compiling perspectives and information. I also have not quote casted this or attempted to elevate the conversation beyond the art community. Just happy to have this dialogue with someone else who cares. I also want solutions. I am doing a lot of introspection about my role in the community. I am trying to think big as to how I may be able to build in a way that can address some of these issues. I completely agree that the debacles with RARE and degen are not associated with the Farcaster/Warpcast team. That being said, I cannot negate the experiences that so many friends who are artists have had in this environment. If we don't mention these challenges, then we are not being honest about the reasons why a large contingency of people feel let down.
