Yep, I grew up (about ten years, from 5-17, with a year in Connecticut in the middle) on 4.5 acres in New Hampshire, with a pond in the backyard. We had all kinds of wildlife from frogs and toads, and tadpoles and turtles, and great blue herons and great horned owls, and ground hogs and foxes.
A fantastic experience, and living in Hawaii has all kinds of different wildlife, but sometimes it is fun to revisit my childhood this way, and passing it on to my niece is important to me too, so she has the same sense of wonder! 0 reply
