Sometimes nature needs a little help. Yukitsuri is a technique using bamboo poles to help the trees not get weighed down by snow! @checkin https://maps.app.goo.gl/znNabXpTcJ318RPbA?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

They are beautiful and so fragile! But I love that the Japanese protect them. Not for themselves today, but for people to enjoy 500 years from now.

Iβve seen cherry blossom trees that are over 1,000 years old! Japan has been tracking their blooming dates since before Jesus.

In 2023, the cherry blossoms bloomed the earliest on record. I had to rearrange my whole schedule. In 2024, the bloomed the latest on record, I had to rearrange my whole schedule. Considering theyβve been tracking for them over 2,100 years, I believe them when they say, um, something is maybe possible wrong with the planet because the blossoms are unhappy and we are concerned. They need a loud American to scream this at the top of their lungs at the global summits on climate.
