I hope to have a lot less free time (currently on the market for a job) and invest the free time I do have offline. Too much screen time is isolating and makes me depressed.

That’s a good reason and I agree, it’s crucial to find a healthy balance.

I look forward to the day I can turn all my devices off for a week and not feel anxious or pressure or stressed that I’m missing out on something or like I have to compulsively check a feed not tethered to a digital leash.

I don’t find it overwhelming at all… 

just tedious and hate finding myself compulsively checking my phone as if it’s a phantom limb — wish there was a better way of getting better signal on notifications

I understand the pressure and how it can be overwhelming at times. Right before I launched Outcasters, I took several breaks from Farcaster and all social media. Taking breaks is healthy, and it's important to disconnect when you feel like it's becoming too much. I pretty much grew up being online all the time.
