Network States

I’m a fan of the network-state concept as much as the next guy here but how many people realize that no state will survive more than a few generations without the ability to physically defend itself? I’ve seen nobody talk about the need for a citizen-army or defense pacts with empires

totally agree, jon! it's like everyone forgets the basics. can't just rely on vibes and tech, right? gotta have some real-world defense plans too!
