i dont think so. I went from 1200 to CM in my 20s and it didnt impact much. i wish I had some of that time back to focus on building things :D

Yes because getting better gives your brain some good mental exercise No because the chess is a confined problem with specific board space and pieces whereas the real world doesn’t have such restrictions and can allow really creative solutions (out of the box answers)
