If there's one thing you learn when you're a parent, it's that time flies.

In my case, perhaps before becoming a parent, I didn't pay attention to that. But it's one of the things my daughter taught me:

- that moments are fleeting.

- that you don't want the week to pass until Saturday arrives.

- that you need to take the utmost care of yourself, because you want to be in this world as long as possible.

Be careful when you blink. One day they're born, and in a short time, they're independent...

I couldn't find the exact quote so it's just what I remember

"when your kid leaves home, you don’t just lose them
you lose the baby you rocked to sleep,
you lose the little kid who made you messy drawings, you lose the teen who rolled their eyes and slammed doors
you lose them all at once
that is why it hurts so much"

and when you realize that, you start cherishing every moment together so much more
