everyone wants to be the freelancer who’s off on a random tuesday

what they don’t see is the other side of it
like me subtitling 70 min of video runtime over the weekend (while the industry norm is 15 min per day)
and now staring down 210 more in the next 4 days
freelancer life is cute until it melts your brain
just me, my laptop, and… usually I'd put dozens cups of coffee here. but since I don't drink it anymore, just gallons of tea and water with lots of sweets
we’ll make it… probably

I translate movies, co-own a loss-making fast-food joint, and raise two kids
