Pastel de nataš Pastel de natas are perhaps the worldās tastiest laundry byproduct. Legend has it that Portuguese nuns and monks, having used egg whites to starch their religious clothing, used the leftover yolks to make pastries, including these sinfully delicious custard tarts.
