There’s a deep cultural trauma around collectivism. When people hear socialism or communism, they think of failed authoritarian regimes and for good reasons. Those who claimed to practice them have often created systems that lead to oppression & economic failure.

Beautifully written and timely sharing of personal experience in light of the current meta going around the gossip chains.

"The real issue is centralized control, in any form"

All the argument over this 'ism' or that 'ism' is pointless red herrings when the real battle we're all fighting is centralized control vs decentralized freedom. Every social experiment; feudalism, capitalism, socialism, communism- whatever flavor you want to pick out- is an example of narratives of 'empowerment' being captured by an elite class of decision-makers.

We're watching the capture in real time right now for the 'empowerment' narrative of cryptography getting overtaken by a combination of the new blockchain-elite class that has sprung into power and the trad-world elites that are already absorbing the rest of the pie.

This is why I believe in DAOs, not just cryptography. DAOs are as much about social change as they are about technical innovation. 

We have to learn how to coordinate without centralized authority!

We, as DAOists, aren't doing a great job, IMO, creating & telling a story that deeply resonates with normies.

Or perhaps we don't create good enough feedback loops and products / services that resonate with people.

This is one of the biggest reasons that I am so excited about onchain Ai Agents!!
