storytime: the worst investment i ever made in web3.
i was super excited to take /groupies to different metaverses, so we applied to have our own in-game characters at the sandbox game.
after not hearing back for a while, we finally connected with someone on their team who offered to help us with the process.
so, we started preparing for our big launch:
· hired vizu, an incredible artist, to recreate groupies in voxels.
· bought 9 premium plots for a total of 11 eth to start building (don’t judge me, lmao).
after everything was done and polished, they started ghosting us.
had some friends who were successfully integrated help me connect with the people they worked with for the integration, and all of them agreed and asked us to send a message.
after months of waiting, none of our 4 contacts ever replied back.
also, none of our public mentions to sandbox were ever acknowledged.
· sold all the land for a total of 1.2 eth.
· vaulted all voxel groupies forever.
