ok, maybe i wasn't clear enough.
i don't sell any of the airdrops i've received from farcaster — they're all just sitting on my warplet and not going anywhere.

but i don't like having my miniapp library full of stuff i don't actually use, so once i claim an airdrop, i'll usually delete the app if it doesn't feel useful for me (why would i have a walletconnect miniapp, for example?).
same goes for following accounts — i don't like following people or products i'm not genuinely interested in.

that said, farcaster really encourages you to claim your airdrops — you even get a notification for it.
so my question is: is it bad to complete the claim steps and then delete the apps or unfollow the accounts afterward?

airdrops are from apps trying to get users. 

if someone is consistently not using apps and selling airdrops, i suspect devs will not be excited about sending them tokens, unless there is a compelling reason to be convinced that you won't do it this time.

i'm consistently not using most (maybe any) of the apps that airdropped me tokens — but i'm also not selling them, since none are really worth the swap.

and honestly, i doubt most of the people they’re airdropping to are either.

they do it hoping a few will stick around — i just happen to not be the fit (not even sure why i'm being selected for these, tbh).

so, it all got me confused...why do i need to think of a strategy when deciding what to do with these miniapps?

very hard to expect people not to claim free money, lol.
i naturally do it for the dopamine hit, it feels nice to claim tokens (specially when you don't know the USD value before hitting claim) even though i'm not interested in their apps.

i'm not mad for claiming them, it's fun for me — i just don't care about their miniapp most of the time.
also a firm believer that if the app is good, it doesn't need to pay users to use it → @farcade for example.

but by saying that deleting those miniapps after claiming isn't a good strategy, you're implying there's some final goal where keeping them would be beneficial — i'm curious what's the upside of not deleting them?

So don’t claim? It’s opt in for a reason. :)
