I do not get the hype. at all.

i mean the movie directed nicely and the acting was also pretty good. But it just showed a rich dude doing drugs and having sex with prostitutes for 3 hours. It wouldn't go into any details because it would 'bore' the audience. No consequences of his action were shown either.

it is all about the lifestyle.. some people just want to be like him.. there is no more than a guy making  money, having sex, doing drugs and crazy things, and living the life with no consequences at all..  just the dream (and life) of some generations..

Yup! Glad that someone here agrees with my take because I know many people here are fans of the movie.

yeah, not a typical opinion, so had to reply,
all my friends love the movie and get this hype but my opinion is similar to yours, I was expecting something more.. it is not bad for having a good time with friends watching it but just that
