I remember driving from the French Riviera to Switzerland via Italy one time & getting the little car (full of luggage) going pretty good... wouldn't do it in that type of vehicle again lol Had a great diesel touring BMW for a while there and definitely got it up to some solid speeds on the autobahn 😉 A very different cruising velocity to that in Canada lol
