Now that the sci-fi novel draft is done, I'm going to let it sit for 1-2 weeks before picking it back up.

the 1-2 week break makes sense. i remember listening to a how i write episode about stephen king and how he would write a really quick first draft and then come back to it in 6 weeks with a fresh mind and basically redo the whole thing
