I'll look into it, thanks! 🖤 I love Takeshi Kitano, at least what I know of his work. The great role he played in the underrated Johnny Mnemonic, for example. Looking at his filmography, 'Brother' and 'Kikujiro's Summer' are two movies i really enjoyed.

Tbh, never went deep on their sci fi. The
Meatball Machine movies are cray, Yakuza apocalypse is also in that vein
