the thing that's missing from all of the ETH UX conversations is: smart defaults It's nearly impossible for new users to figure out the ETH landscape. There are too many L2s and too many flavors of the same token. I urge anyone working on consumer-oriented products or interfaces on ETH to stop giving users unlimited choices and make decisions for them. Define smart defaults so the overall ecosystem becomes easier for new users to use. Doing so will dramatically increase ETH's likelihood of success

Expecting a 1000x short term is a bet on an immediate, violent shift in the attention economy Expecting a 1000x long term is a bet on a shift in human behavior

Design matters deeply However I don't think that every web3 product will have the same functionality. Currently the primary use case for web3 is various forms of speculation. There are other use cases that will look, feel, and be very different functionally and from a design POV

Imagine a protocol where the only way to get tokens is to: 1. Be an early investor 2. Perform repetitive, useless tasks 3. Buy tokens from those who did steps 1 or 2 at a massively inflated price What do we call such a system?

its a protocol that allows you to perform multi-chain txs and move value across chains without having to use a traditional bridge. Want to buy an NFT on AVAX and only have ETH? Np. Have an NFT on chain A, but want to sell it on chain B where there is more liquidity? Np etc. etc.

if you are building something that looks and feels nearly identical to something that already exists + has a lot of traction, you are wasting time Push yourself to think bigger and find a way to serve your user 10x better. The end result will likely look and feel unique

All technology is temporal. The platforms you think will last forever will inevitably end up like the fax machine, AOL, Altavista, or myspace
