A good way to learn is to reconstruct successful designs. Copying work and claiming it as your own isnโ€™t okay, but treating excellent design like a Lego set that you reverse engineer can teach you a lot.

Limit your self, to much options doesnโ€™t makes for good design. Be creative in limited options. In design school we where only allowed to design in black white for on semester. It really helped to focus on white space, dimensions, details, โ€ฆ
