First, find a tree you're intuitively drawn to. Sit on the ground with your back to the tree.
What do you notice? Maybe you see leaves falling, or you feel the wind on your skin, or you sense the sturdiness of the tree you have chosen. Whatever it is, just notice it.
Close your eyes and take a few meditative breaths. When you're ready, ask the tree out loud or in your mind, "what lessons do you have to teach me?"
Be patient. The tree might not give its answer right away. Wait until a message comes. This may be in the form of a thought, a feeling, an image, a sound, etc.
When you have received your message, thank the tree. You may also wish to leave an offering, like a stone. 1 reply
