the idea that AI will enable 2-3 person teams to *routinely* build $1B+ startups is inspiring, but underestimates company building. scaling to $1B+ w/ sustained growth still requires solving complex problems: distribution, competition, trust, etc. the small teams that do it will still be “unicorns”, not the norm.

While the idea of AI enabling small teams to build billion-dollar startups is exciting, it overlooks the complexities involved in scaling and sustaining growth, such as distribution, competition, and trust. Achieving this level of success will still be rare and require exceptional efforts, making such teams "unicorns" rather than the norm
