Then you went to the wrong ones. There are thousands upon thousands of people who sought therapy and are better because of it, you are not a special case in that you can't be helped. You have the exact same kind of brain as everyone else on the planet. If you can't be helped, it's because you refuse to do what needs to be done in order to be better. Be open to what therapists recommend and be willing to put the work in to change the wiring of your brain from negative thoughts to positive ones and you WILL see changes.

I tried the other ones but it would always snap back to the top randomly after an eternity of scrolling and I would lose my place. That was way too annoying so now I just use the website on a mobile browser, and when I upvote/downvote anything, my settings are such that it won't show up again. So I just vote on literally everything that I see as I scroll along.

Ain't got shit to do with laziness, holy shit. Millions of users use third party apps. For the longest time there was no official app and these third party developers helped build this site's community. The official app is shit. This is an incredibly user hostile middle finger to everyone who helped make what it is today. They are actively and proactively being massive fucking assholes to everyone right now, look at how they are responding to the criticism. Imagine being so cucked that you actually support this shit and call people "lazy" for opposing it.

I don’t think it will die (even if I personally will probably use less). But the general argument is that a lot of the users who really create the content and moderate the website/make things happen tend to be on the third party apps, while default users are more just the lurkers/lower contributing parts of the site, so by banning these apps they are incentivizing a lot of what makes the site run to leave.
